Many SwitchBot devices connect via Bluetooth for local control. However, to enable remote access, voice control (Alexa, Google Assistant), and third-party integrations, a SwitchBot Hub Mini or Hub 2 is required.
Are SwitchBot products compatible with Apple HomeKit?
Yes, our latest devices support Matter via the SwitchBot Hub 2, allowing seamless integration with Apple HomeKit, as well as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT.
How long does the battery last on the SwitchBot Bot?
The SwitchBot Bot is powered by a replaceable CR2 battery which typically lasts up to 600 days based on twice-daily usage.
Can I install SwitchBot Curtain myself?
Absolutely. SwitchBot Curtain is designed for a 30-second DIY installation without the need for screws, tools, or rail modifications.
What happens if my Wi-Fi goes down?
Local schedules and Bluetooth control will continue to function. However, remote monitoring and voice commands will be unavailable until the connection is restored.
Do you offer firmware updates?
